Whether to upgrade your campervan rental insurance is a personal choice. It’s essential to balance adequate coverage with your budget and your level of comfort with some risk.

On road trip planning and guidance

Our team has extensive experience in travelling around New Zealand and is happy to take the time upon collection of your camper to offer up some ideas and itineraries.  For some of our guests, they come full prepared with a full itinerary, for others they come with set time but no real plan as to what they want to see or do.

We think there is nice balance between having a loose itinerary, but being able to change with local weather conditions. Be it chasing world class waves at some of New Zealand’s classic surf breaks or trekking on some of the breath taking great walks we can help you make the most of your time in NZ. You can also contact us at anytime via WhatsApp or email during your trip if need ideas or inspirations to make the most of your time here in New Zealand.

24/7 roadside & emergency assistance

What happens if my rental campervan breaks down? We maintain a very high standard of vehicle servicing and maintenance, however when you do experience a breakdown or mechanical issue know that we’ve got your back.

Here’s what we’ll do if you experience a mechanical breakdown:

  1. We’ll liaise with the AA to come to you and take you to the nearest available mechanics.
  2. We’ll find you the next available mechanic that can help and get you back on the road asap.
  3. We’ll pay the mechanic directly for any mechanical work required.
  4. Should the job require you staying overnight we’ll locate and cover the cost of a Motel where available.
  5. We’ll refund you for any days lost due to waiting for mechanical repairs.

Some things to keep in mind:

  1. Typically weekends and bank holidays mechanics will be closed, but we’ll do our best to find the next available appointment to get you back on the road.
  2. Some parts of New Zealand are extremely remote, getting help to you may take some time.
  3. We do not cover the cost of things like locking your keys in the vehicle or running the battery flat from leaving the headlights on.

Optional Extras

You’re welcome to add any of these during the booking process.

Let us know if you need something that’s not on the list, and we’ll do our best to help.
