Description
Hangdog Camp is a back‑to‑basics, climber-oriented campsite with a welcoming, bohemian spirit. It features grass and tree-sheltered pitches, communal spaces, and self-serve facilities, set right beside NZ’s premier sport-climbing crags.

About
Operated by a local family since the late 1990s, Hangdog encourages mutual respect and outdoor lifestyle. Climber season runs mid-December to Easter, with proof of climbing intent sometimes required at peak. Facilities include toilets, one hot shower, potable water, fridges, shelter, fire circle, gear storage and free bikes to reach town or crags.
